Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of our most frequently asked questions. We always welcome your questions. If you have any concerns, please reach out to us.

Will you tailor a program for my property with an on-site visit?
Absolutely! We offer a complimentary, no-obligation consultation at your home to ensure our program meets the unique needs of your lawn.

How many treatments do you perform annually?
Our standard program includes 7 treatments per year, incorporating a maintenance lime application. Each lawn is unique, so we customize our approach to fit your specific needs.  This may mean more or less applications to help get the desired result of a healthy, safe and green lawn.

Do you offer soil testing services?
Yes, for every new client, we conduct a soil test through UCONN to tailor your lawn care program at no cost to you. We also provide periodic soil tests for existing clients as necessary.

Are your lawn treatments pet-safe?
Yes, as long as you keep your pets off of the grass for about 20 to 30 minutes to allow our treatment to dry.

What happens if it rains shortly after application?
Should it rain within 30 minutes post-application, we’ll reapply the treatment at no additional charge.  If it rains after 30 minutes of our application, our treatment will work just as well without a re-application needed.

Can you treat garden beds for weeds?
Certainly! We use a pre-emergent liquid spray weed control to significantly reduce and prevent weed growth in your garden beds.

Do you offer solutions to prevent deer from damaging my vegetation?
Yes, we provide a 30-day deer repellent spray for your trees and shrubs to protect them from deer damage.

How often should I water my established lawn?
For most established lawns, we recommend 30 minutes every other day.

How often should I water a new lawn?
For new lawns, we recommend 15 to 30 minutes every other day.

My lawn has turned brown, what should I do?

If you’re not yet a client, reach out for a free consultation.  We welcome you to contact us with any of your concerns.

Do you offer payment plans?
We offer convenient payment plans, allowing you to spread the cost of your annual lawn care program over 12 monthly payments, starting at $49 per month.

How important is aerating?
We love aerating lawns typically in the fall because it is an organic way to help your lawn breathe and be healthy.  If your lawn is a little thin, we will also broadcast seed at the time of aeration.  If your lawn is very thin we usually will slide seed.  We also have equipment to top dress your lawn if needed.

Can you resolve issues with lawn drainage or muddy lawns?
Absolutely! We specialize in improving lawn drainage and can provide the necessary equipment and expertise to address areas prone to muddiness.
